Fall Recipes


Along with cooler temps and falling leaves comes some of the years YUMMIEST foods! I thought I would take some time today to share a few of my fav's! Most of these have been passed down from family and friends through the years (oh my gosh, I am old)!!
 I love sharing this part of my family and friends with others and I hope you enjoy!!



Teriyaki BBQ SAUCE
 

 3 T. Butter
 2 Garlic Cloves, Chopped
2 Small Onions, Chopped
3 C.Ketchup
1 t. Chili Powder
3 T. Mustard
6 T. Soy Sauce or Teriyaki
12 T Brown Sugar

Melt Butter. Saute garlic and onions together until tender. Remove from heat. Add Ketchup, chili powder, mustard, soy or Teriyaki sauce. Stir until well mixed. Add brown sugar. Stir while adding. Marinate whatever meat you choose, grill!!! Yummy




Oh my Gosh, you have to try this one!! My friend gave me this over 10 years ago and it is still a beloved FALL recipe at my house, sorry I have no pic but you just have to try these!!

                      Pumpkin Bars

Mix together: 
1 Can Pumpkin (15 oz)
1 C Oil
1 1/2 C Sugar
4 Eggs

Then Add: 
1  t. Salt
1 t. Baking Soda
2 t. Baking Powder
 2 t Cinnamon
2 C. Flour
Mix well, bake at 350 25-30 min. on long greased and floured cookie sheet

Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 (8oz) Cream Cheese
1 T. Vanilla
1/2 C. Margarine
 Mix until creamy, then add 3 C. Powdered Sugar YUMMY, YUMMY!!

This same friend who gave me the Pumpkin Bar recipe, gave me this AWESOME cornbread recipe as well!! Since fall is a GREAT time for Chili, you just have to try this DELICIOUS cornbread along with it:

 The Best Cornbread You'll Ever Eat!   
Mix Together:
3 Eggs, beaten
1 1/4 C Milk
1 1/2 cubes Margarine, melted
set aside

Mix Together:
2 1/2 C Bisquick
1 C. Sugar
1 t. Brown Sugar
1 C. Cornmeal
Add to above

Put in greased 9*13 baking dish. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven and poke holes in top with fork. Pour a cube of melted margarine over the top of cornbread!! This is so yummy it tastes like cake!!! 

You can't have cornbread without YUMMY Chili! I found this recipe online a few years back and it has been a favorite of my families ever since. 

White Chili

2 C. Chopped onion
Minced Garlic
2 T olive oil
1 Can green chili's (4 1/2 oz)
3 t chili powder
1 t cayenne pepper
3 cans white kidney beans (15 ounce)
2 c Chicken broth (14 1/2 oz)
5 C. turkey or chicken
4 oz Monterey Jack with Jalapeno peppers, shredded

Add all ingredients to a crock pot, (except for cheese) and simmer through out the day. Add shredded cheese on top when serving!!! DELICIOUS!!
